Who loves garlic bread?
Yeah, my thoughts exactly. That shouldn’t even be a question.
When I stopped eating wheat, this was the number one thing I missed. Warm, crusty bread with butter and garlic… mmmmmm. And when I started a Nutritional Healing program, and needed to start including more (cooked) vegetables into my diet, I thought: why not flavor cauliflower with the same stuff I used to put on garlic bread? After all, cauliflower has very little ‘taste’ on its own- so much so it is being made into things like pizza crust. If cauliflower can be a pizza crust, cauliflower can be garlic bread. No arguments.
Since I hate having to scroll past a hundred pictures just to get to the recipe, here’s the recipe first. Then, if you scroll down, you can get the step by step pictures. :)
- 1 head cauliflower
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- 3 Tbsp water
Chop the cauliflower into bite size pieces. Place on a large pan, so that the cauliflower can be spread out. Pour 3 Tbsp water on the pan. Broil on low for about 20 minutes. Remove from oven and drizzle with olive oil and then season. Best eaten right away for the most garlic bread taste.
Now, for the step by step pictures. :)
